Dr. Burns is currently one of eleven physicians in Ohio and two physicians in Kentucky meeting the qualifications set forth be the Alliance for Physician Certification and Advancement (APCA) for Sports / Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (RMSK) Ultrasound certification.

Dr. Burns uses sports ultrasound for the diagnosis and treatment of injuries. Ultrasound is used for guidance during procedures such as Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections and TENEX procedures, among others.
